Frequently Asked Questions
Springfield XDM 10mm for sale
Did Springfield discontinue the XD-M 10mm?
Springfield discontinued most XD-M Elite models. Some 10mm variants may still be available, but the broader XD-M Elite line is largely discontinued. Check Springfield's current catalog for remaining options, as specific model availability is unclear. We have several listings on our marketplace if you're searching for one.
Is the Springfield XDM Elite 10mm a good gun?
Whether it's "good" depends on your needs. Users praise its accuracy, reliability, and crisp trigger. It handles home defense and field use well. Typically around $620, it offers solid performance at a competitive price. The XD-M Elite 10mm, including the OSP variant, remains an active, current product in Springfield's lineup.
What are the common problems with the Springfield XDm Elite 10mm?
Users report a stiff trigger, occasional feeding issues with heavier bullets over 220 grains due to short chamber leades, and grip angle that feels awkward to some shooters. The polymer trigger safety has raised durability concerns among high-round-count owners. Ammunition selection matters—standard-weight rounds typically perform better.
What's the difference between the XD-M and XD-M Elite?
XD-M Elite adds an improved trigger, flared magazine well, and higher-capacity magazines compared to the standard XD-M. Elite models also come in OSP (Optics-Ready Platform) variants. Both share the same striker-fired action and frame sizes, but Elite commands a premium for these refinements.
What holsters are compatible with the XD-M 10mm?
Multiple manufacturers make holsters for the XD-M 10mm. Look for options labeled for XD-M or XD-M Elite. DeSantis, Comp-Tac, Alien Gear, and Craft Holsters offer IWB and OWB configurations, including light-bearing and optics-ready setups. Verify your barrel length—4.5" or compact—before purchasing.
What are the accessories available for the Springfield XD-M?
Springfield Armory offers magazines, magwells, suppressor-height iron sights, and pistol cases for the XD-M. Third-party makers provide holsters, lights, optics mounts, and grips. Magazine springs and replacement parts are also available. Check retailer sites for full catalogs specific to your XD-M variant.
