Classic Cimarron models
The 19th-century originals behind Cimarron’s replicas; Cimarron was founded in 1984 by Mike and Mary Lou Harvey in Houston (now Fredericksburg, Texas), and its guns are made mostly in Italy by Uberti and Pietta, with Pedersoli and Armi Sport building single-shot rifles.

Cimarron model names explained
- Old Model
- Pre-1896 single-action frame with the cylinder base-pin screw in the front of the frame.
- Pre-War (PW)
- Post-1896 frame with the base-pin latch on the side of the frame, as Colt made from 1896 to 1940.
- Cowboy Comp®
- Cimarron’s US action job: coil hand spring, US-made mainspring and trigger/bolt spring, tuned trigger and timing; standard on Arizona Ranger and Thunderstorm models.
- Original Finish
- Cimarron’s antique-look finish that makes a new gun look like a used 19th-century original.
- Dual cylinder
- Revolver shipped with two cylinders, e.g. .45 Colt/.45 ACP or .38 Spl/9mm.
- WCF
- Winchester Center Fire: .44 WCF = .44-40, .38 WCF = .38-40, .32 WCF = .32-20.
- Conversion
