- G2 / G3
- Viper generations: the Viper G2 launched in 2009; the Viper G3 is the next generation, new in 2026.
- Max / Mag
- 3½" magnum chambers: Viper Max semi-auto (two gas pistons for light and heavy loads) and Hunter Mag II over/under.
- LT
- Lightweight aluminum-alloy receiver (Trinity II LT, earlier Hunter EX LT).
- X / SP (Cypher)
- Cypher X has an aluminum receiver; Cypher SP is the Sporting model with ported 30" barrels and adjustable comb.
- Compact / Super Compact
- Shorter stocks: 13" length of pull on Compact models; the Cobra III Super Compact .410 has a 12" stock and 18.5" barrel.
- CT-3 / CT-5 / X
- Choke sets in the spec tables: CT-3 = IC, M, F; CT-5 = SK, IC, M, IM, F; a trailing X means extended tubes.
