Frequently Asked Questions
Springfield XD 9 for sale
Is the Springfield xd9 any good?
Springfield's XD9 earns solid marks for reliability, accuracy, and user-friendly controls. Its striker-fired design, 15-round capacity, and balanced ergonomics suit self-defense and carry well. Currently in production with five variants available, it typically runs around $475. Most shooters praise its ruggedness and smooth trigger.
How much is a used XD 9 worth?
Used XD9 pistols typically sell for $270–$350 depending on condition, included accessories, and local demand. New models average around $371, so used examples generally run about 25% less. Guns with original box and extra magazines command higher prices.
How does the XD9 compare to the Glock 19?
Both are reliable 9mm striker-fired pistols with 15-round capacity and comparable dimensions overall. The XD9 has a higher beavertail and more aggressive grip texture, suiting larger hands. The XD9 typically costs around $475; Glock 19 pricing varies widely. Neither holds a clear size advantage for concealed carry.
Is the XD9 easy to carry?
The XD9's full-size frame makes it less ideal for concealed carry than compact models. At roughly 8 inches long, it works best with IWB or OWB holsters and appropriate clothing. Most shooters find it manageable with proper gear, though compact alternatives are generally easier to conceal.
What holster will fit a Springfield XD 9mm?
XD 9mm holsters are made by Alien Gear, Comp-Tac, and Mission First Tactical in IWB and OWB styles. Most holsters fit both 9mm and .40 S&W XD models due to identical frame dimensions. Always confirm compatibility with your specific XD variant (subcompact, service, or tactical) before purchasing.
