Patented by B. Tyler Henry and built by New Haven Arms — about 14,000 made by 1866.
1866: Winchester Model 1866 lever action
The Henry’s successor; New Haven Arms became Winchester.
1959: ArmaLite AR-7 .22 survival rifle
Eugene Stoner’s takedown survival rifle, made by Henry since 1997.
1997: H001 Lever Action .22 rimfire lever action
First shipped from Brooklyn; the 1,000,000th was built in 2017.
1999: Golden Boy .22 lever action

Henry model names explained

H1–H27: Platform codes from Henry’s model numbers (H001–H027); Henry renamed its catalog by platform in 2026.
Side Gate: A loading gate plus Henry’s removable tube magazine (H24 2019, steel guns 2020, brass guns 2023).
X Model: Synthetic pistol-grip stock, Picatinny/M-LOK, threaded muzzle and fiber-optic sights (2020).
Big Boy: Brass-framed centerfire lever rifle (2003); the name also covers brass H9/H10 models.
Golden Boy: The .22 lever gun with a Brasslite receiver, octagon barrel and walnut stock (1999).
Provider / Protector / Explorer: 2026 trims: 20-inch pistol-grip hunting rifle / 16.5-inch threaded carbine / Burnt Bronze Cerakote carbine.
All-Weather: Satin hard-chrome finish with treated hardwood.
