Classic Tikka models
Historic Tikka models and milestones. The brand comes from Tikkakoski, founded in Finland in 1893; it merged into Sako in 1983, and Sako has been owned by Italy’s Beretta Holding since 2000.

Tikka model names explained
- T3x
- Second-generation T3 (2016): larger ejection port, steel recoil lug, metal bolt shroud; the new parts also fit the T3.
- Lite
- T3x with a synthetic stock and the widest caliber choice of the line.
- Superlite
- Lighter T3x with a fluted stainless barrel and synthetic stock; muzzle thread optional.
- Roughtech
- Textured Roughtech stock with a fluted bolt and oversized bolt knob.
- Laminated Stainless / Forest
- Laminated stock with stainless steel metalwork / T3x with a walnut stock.
- Arctic
- T3x with Sako-designed open sights for cold-climate hunting.
- Varmint / Super Varmint
- T3x with heavy varmint-profile barrels for varmint and long-distance shooting.
- TACT A1 / CTR
- Modular chassis precision rifle (TACT A1, often listed as TAC A1) and its compact version, the Compact Tactical Rifle.
- UPR
- Ultimate Precision Rifle: rough-coated stock and oversized bolt knob (T3x and T1x).
