About Us
GunsNPrices.com is a price comparison site for firearms and ammunition. Every day we collect prices and stock from more than 30 US online retailers, so you can see who sells a gun or a box of ammo for less before you buy. We don't sell anything ourselves: you buy on the retailer's website, and guns ship to a licensed FFL dealer near you.
What you can do on GunsNPrices
- Compare prices. Each product page lists the stores that carry it, with the current price and stock status.
- Find real deals. Our Deals section lists guns and ammo that are actually below their usual price, updated every day: gun deals, ammo deals ranked by price per round, deals for each major brand and seasonal sales such as Black Friday.
- Research models. Brand guides such as All Glock Models put every model of a brand in one table with specs and current prices, and our Gun Calibers guide explains the cartridges.
- Learn how to buy. Our guide to buying a gun online explains FFL transfers and background checks.
- Check prices while you shop. Our free GunsNPrices extension for Firefox works on product pages of the stores we track. It tells you when another store sells the same gun or ammo for less, or has it in stock when this store is sold out, and shows the price per round for ammo. You can also add products to a watchlist and get a notification when the price drops (prices are checked once a day). The extension reads only those store pages; see our Privacy Policy.
- Take it with you. Our free GunsNPrices app for iPhone lets you search and compare gun and ammo prices on the go, follow products on a watchlist with price drop and back-in-stock alerts, and get the day's best deals as a notification. Store links open on the retailer's website. It's free on the App Store.
Where our prices come from
We collect prices, stock status and product details from retailers' websites and product feeds. Prices are refreshed once a day, so a store's price can change before our next update; always check the final price on the retailer's site before you buy. We match the same product across stores by UPC, model number and brand, and we hide offers that a store hasn't confirmed for two weeks.
How we pick deals
A product is listed as a deal only when it is in stock and its price is clearly below its usual level: at least 10% below its own recent price (the median of its daily lowest price over the last 30 days, or yesterday's price while that history builds up), or at least 15% cheaper than at any other store that has it in stock. We never use MSRP or "was" prices supplied by stores, and we leave out used, refurbished and pre-order items. Every deal card shows why it qualified.
How we make money
Most links to stores are affiliate links. When you buy after clicking one, the store or its affiliate network (such as AvantLink, Impact or Partnerize) may pay us a commission. This doesn't change the price you pay.
On product pages, in-stock offers come first, and stores we work with may be listed above other stores, so compare the prices in the table. The "from" price shown for a product is the lowest in-stock price we found. Deals are picked automatically by the rule above from stores we can link to; no store pays to be listed as a deal.
