Frequently Asked Questions
Taurus guns for sale
Is the Taurus G3c worth buying?
The Taurus G3c is a capable compact 9mm that retails under $300. It offers good ergonomics, a 12-round capacity, and generally reliable performance. For budget-conscious buyers wanting a concealed carry pistol, it delivers solid value, though some prefer spending more for Glock or Smith & Wesson alternatives.
How much does a G3c cost?
Taurus G3c pistols have an MSRP of $233–$280. New retail prices run around $300, while used examples typically sell for $80–$200. The G3c is generally considered affordable at $450 or less, making our marketplace listings a great place to find competitive deals.
How much does the Taurus Judge cost?
Taurus Judge revolvers typically cost around $346 on average on our marketplace, with most listings ranging from $230 to $850. The full Judge lineup spans $429–$859, with the Public Defender priced around $436. Executive Grade variants reach up to $950. Prices vary by finish, barrel length, and retailer.
What caliber has the most stopping power?
Stopping power depends more on shot placement, bullet construction, and target anatomy than caliber alone. Larger rounds like .45 ACP deliver more energy per shot, but 9mm achieves comparable results with modern ammunition. Effectiveness varies significantly between individuals and situations.
What is the best gun for seniors?
Lightweight pistols or revolvers with low recoil and easy operation suit most seniors. The Taurus G3C offers affordability and simplicity, while a .38 Special revolver provides reliability with minimal complexity. Grip comfort and manageable controls matter most. Test several options at a range before deciding.
Can you shoot a 410 slug out of a Taurus Judge?
Yes, the Taurus Judge chambers .410 shells, including slugs. However, slugs lose velocity quickly from the short barrel and aren't considered ideal for self-defense. Most owners prefer .410 buckshot or .45 Colt loads. Check your specific model's cylinder length before using 3-inch shells.
Is a G2C 9mm a Glock?
No, the G2C is made by Taurus, not Glock. It is a compact 9mm striker-fired pistol. While similar in size and function to some Glock models, they are entirely separate firearms from different manufacturers with distinct designs.
How far can a G2C shoot?
The Taurus G2C is accurate to about 25 yards in skilled hands, though most defensive use occurs within 7–15 yards. Its 3.2-inch barrel limits long-range precision, but the pistol performs reliably at distances typical for self-defense situations.
