Frequently Asked Questions
Springfield XDM OSP Elite for sale
Is the Springfield XDM Elite a good gun?
Whether it's "good" depends on your needs. Reviewers praise its reliability, accuracy, and versatility for self-defense, competition, and duty carry.
What are the common problems with the XD-M Elite 9mm?
Most XD-M Elite owners report reliable performance. Documented issues include the 3.8" 9mm model failing to eject spent casings properly and not ramping correctly. Some users also report the trigger not engaging after cleaning and reassembly. Additional complaints include a stiff trigger and grip angle some find awkward.
What is the difference between XDm and XDm Elite?
XD-M Elite features a flat-face trigger with a rolling break around 5 pounds, versus the curved trigger on standard XD-M models. The Elite also includes a flared magazine well and higher-capacity magazines. Both share identical frames across barrel lengths, but Elite variants cost more and offer refined ergonomics and trigger performance.
What is the price of the Springfield XDM Elite 9mm?
Springfield XD-M Elite 9mm pistols typically sell around $599.99. Most listings range from $464.99 to $749.99 depending on barrel length and capacity. Fourteen variants from thirty retailers are currently in stock, with prices varying by specific configuration.
What makes the XD-M Elite 10mm unique?
Springfield's XD-M Elite 10mm features a refined flat-face trigger, flared magazine well, and optics-ready capability on select models. The 10mm cartridge delivers more power than 9mm, and the pistol is available in full-size and compact frames for self-defense, competition, and duty applications.
Will an XDM holster fit an XDM Elite?
Standard XD-M holsters may fit the Elite, but fit isn't guaranteed. Overall dimensions and opening width are the key compatibility factors. Some makers, like Dara Holsters, now build to Elite specs to cover both versions. Verify compatibility with your holster manufacturer before purchasing.
