The Taurus TX22 is a fast shooting, competition ready rim fire pistol that incorporates elements from full-sized center fire pistols. Unlike the majority of semiautomatic .22 LR pistols that are hammer-fired and use limited 10-round capacity magazines, the TX22 is striker-fired and is outfitted with a 16-round magazine similar in size to a conventional 10-round magazine. The TX22’s ergonomics are akin to that of a full size center fire pistol, augmented for proper hand placement, optimal trigger reach, reduced recoil, and enhanced shot placement. Another notable feature of the TX22 is its precise Performance Trigger System, which takes much of its design from a rifle trigger and features a SAO drop sear style that won’t sacrifice firing pin energy or effect trigger pull. The trigger pull is remarkably smooth, breaks cleanly at 5lbs, and offers a short audible reset. The trigger also features an unique safety mechanism integrated within the trigger itself, which works in conjunction with a manual safety for maximum confidence when carrying the TX22. Other features of the TX22 include an easy takedown and cleaning process, a handy feature as high round counts of .22 LR tends to create a considerable amount of carbon fouling. In addition, the TX22 ships with a suppressor adapter, allowing the use of a suppressor or any muzzle accessory that uses 1/2x28” threads.
