Frequently Asked Questions
Taurus TH9C Compact for sale
Is the Taurus TH9c 9mm any good?
The Taurus TH9c is a decent budget concealed carry pistol at around $294. It includes two magazines: a compact 13+1 and a 15-round option. The DA/SA trigger works well enough, and reliability is generally acceptable, though build quality and controls feel basic compared to competitors like the Ruger EC9s.
What is the difference between th9 and TH9c?
The TH9 is the full-size version while the TH9c is the compact version. Both are 9mm DA/SA pistols, but the TH9c has a shorter barrel and grip, holds 12 rounds versus the TH9's 17, and is better suited for concealed carry and smaller hands.
What are the upgrades for the Taurus TH9c?
Popular upgrades for the Taurus TH9c include fiber optic sights, red dot optic mount plates, stainless recoil assemblies, magazine extensions, and enhanced grip panels. Custom holsters are widely available. Aftermarket sight options are the most common upgrade owners pursue for improved accuracy.
What are common TH9c problems or issues?
Common TH9c issues include failure to feed, extraction problems with brass ammunition, heavy trigger pull, and occasional magazine release malfunctions. Some users report extractor wear requiring service. Most problems resolve with thorough cleaning, quality ammunition, and proper magazine seating, though persistent issues may need factory service.
What is the value of the Taurus TH9c pistol?
The Taurus TH9c averages around $168 used, while new listings typically run from roughly $310 to $442 or more. Auction listings often fall in the $385–$395 range. Prices vary by condition, finish, and included accessories, with two variants currently in stock across 26 retailers on our marketplace.
Where is the Taurus TH9 manufactured?
Taurus manufactures the TH9 in Brazil. The company also operates a facility in Bainbridge, Georgia, though production there focuses on other models to reduce backorder times.
What ammo is best for Taurus TH9?
The TH9 fires standard 9mm Luger. Use 115-grain FMJ for practice and quality hollow-points like Hornady Critical Defense or Federal HST for carry. Taurus approves 9mm +P loads. Choose based on purpose: budget FMJ for range work, reliable defensive ammunition for carry.
