Sig Sauer P226 MK25 for sale
What is the price of the P226 MK25?
The P226 MK25 typically costs around $1,152, with most listings ranging from $1,100 to $1,210. Prices vary slightly by finish and configuration.
Can a civilian own a SIG P226?
Yes, civilians can legally own a SIG P226. It is a full-size semi-automatic handgun sold through licensed dealers in multiple variants. Federal law permits civilian ownership, but check your state and local laws, as some jurisdictions restrict magazine capacity or specific firearm features.
What makes the MK25 so special?
Naval Special Warfare adopted the P226 as its standard sidearm in 1989. The MK25 variant features a stainless steel slide with Nitron finish for saltwater resistance, a chrome-lined barrel, phosphate-coated internals, SIGLite night sights, and G10 grips, making it exceptionally durable in extreme conditions.
What are common problems with a P226?
Common P226 issues include light primer strikes, failures to extract, and stovepipes. These typically trace to worn magazines, dirty internals, weak recoil springs, or low-quality ammunition. Feeding problems usually stem from magazine condition. Regular cleaning and using quality magazines prevent most malfunctions.
Which P226 model is best?
Best depends on your needs. The MK25 suits harsh environments with its Nitron finish and phosphate-coated barrel for corrosion resistance, plus night sights. The Legion offers enhanced ergonomics and trigger refinements. Standard P226 variants deliver the same core reliability at lower cost. Our marketplace lists five variants averaging $1,152, mostly ranging $1,100–$1,210.
Does the P226 MK25 have a threaded barrel?
Yes, the P226 MK25 comes standard with an M13.5 x 1 LH threaded barrel, allowing attachment of suppressors or compatible muzzle devices.
How much is the Sig Sauer P226 magazine?
