Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer P226 Legion Sao for sale
Is the SIG P226 Legion a good gun?
The P226 Legion is a high-quality pistol with an excellent trigger and solid ergonomics. Note that some shooters report malfunctions with certain ammo brands, so test your preferred ammunition before relying on it. Prices typically run $1,200–$2,000. Experienced shooters rate it highly for duty use and competitive shooting.
What are common P226 Legion problems?
Reported issues include light primer strikes, extraction failures, and occasional double feeds. Most problems appear ammo-dependent rather than design flaws. Testing multiple ammunition brands helps isolate whether issues stem from the gun or specific rounds. SIG generally addresses defects under warranty when properly documented.
What is the difference between a Sig P226 and a P226 Legion?
The Legion features a Grayguns P-SAIT trigger, X-Ray night sights, G10 grips, trigger guard checkering, and a Legion Gray PVD finish. Standard P226s have basic sights, standard grips, and simpler internals. Both share the same core platform. Legions typically cost $1,200–$2,000 versus $900–$1,100 for standard models.
What does sao mean sig sauer?
SAO stands for Single-Action Only. The hammer must be manually cocked before the trigger can fire the pistol. SIG Sauer offers SAO versions of pistols like the P226 Legion, favored in competition shooting for their short, crisp trigger pull compared to DA/SA models.
What is the price of the SIG P226 Legion?
SIG P226 Legion pistols average around $1,525 new and $1,028 used, with current listings ranging from $950 to $1,191 depending on variant and retailer. Five variants are tracked across 25 retailers, with four currently in stock. Price varies by finish, grips, and included accessories.
