Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer P226 Legion for sale
What is the price of the SIG Sauer P226 Legion?
SIG Sauer P226 Legion pistols typically cost around $1,300, with most listings ranging from $1,191 to $2,000.
What is the difference between a SIG P226 and a P226 Legion?
The Legion upgrades the standard P226 with a Grayguns trigger, enhanced sights, increased trigger guard checkering, and premium G10 grips. Both share the same full-size frame and caliber options, but the Legion targets competitive shooters and serious users wanting factory-refined performance.
What are common P226 Legion problems?
User reports mention occasional light primer strikes, extraction failures, and rare double-feeds. These issues are often intermittent and ammunition-dependent. Most problems resolve with different ammo brands or factory service. Isolated defects occur but aren't widespread across the Legion line.
What makes a SIG Legion so special?
Legion models come factory-tuned with a refined trigger, night sights, aggressive checkering, and premium grips. Every Legion pistol also includes a premium zippered pistol case, a custom challenge coin, and Legion membership privileges with exclusive gear access — delivering a combat-ready package without custom work for serious shooters.
Which Sig Sauer P226 is best?
Best depends on your needs. The P226 Legion suits competitive shooters with its refined trigger, night sights, and premium grips. Standard variants work well for general defense and range use at lower cost.
Is the SIG P226 Legion a good gun?
Reviewers consistently praise the P226 Legion for reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics. Its refined trigger, night sights, and aggressive grip texture appeal to serious shooters. User feedback highlights excellent build quality and range performance. It's a premium full-size 9mm well-suited for defense and competition use.
Is P226 Legion discontinued?
SIG discontinued the standard P226 Legion. The current Legion lineup for the P226 platform includes both the P226 X-Legion and the P226 XFIVE Legion as available variants. Existing inventory of the original model remains at various retailers, typically around $1,300.
What is the SIG P226 XFive Legion known for?
The SIG P226 XFive Legion is a premium competition pistol featuring a 5" bull barrel and single action-only (SAO) trigger system. Its refined trigger, aggressive grip checkering, and night sights make it popular among competitive and serious shooters who prioritize precision and reliability.
