Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer 1911 Two Tone for sale
Are Sig Sauer 1911 any good?
Sig Sauer 1911s are well-regarded for reliability, fit, and finish. They typically run $875–$1,400 depending on the variant. Most shooters consider them strong value compared to higher-priced competitors, though some upgrade internals for match-grade trigger performance.
How much is the Sig Sauer 1911 Match Elite 9mm?
Sig Sauer's 1911 Match Elite in 9mm typically runs around $950 on our marketplace. Most listings fall between $876–$1,403 depending on retailer and specific variant. All five in-stock variants are currently available across seven retailers.
What 1911 did Chris Kyle carry?
Chris Kyle carried a Springfield Armory 1911 TRP Operator during his deployments. Springfield later honored him with the limited-edition Chris Kyle Legend Series TRP, featuring a five-inch match-grade barrel, Tritium combat sights, and G10 grips.
What 45 do navy SEALs use?
Navy SEALs use several handguns, including the Mk 25 and Glock 19 (Mk 27). They also adopted the HK45 Compact in 2011 as a replacement for the MK 23. The HK45C fires .45 ACP, holds 10 rounds, and supports suppressors and IR laser aiming devices.
What SIG Sauer to stay away from?
The P320 has been controversial, with some agencies like ICE and Air Force Global Strike Command choosing to stop using it. However, claims of uncommanded discharges have been rejected by thirteen courts, and testing has consistently shown it to be safe and reliable. Research both sides before purchasing.
Will a 1911 go off if dropped?
Modern 1911s with firing pin blocks or heavy firing pin springs are drop-safe. Older 1911s lacking these features could theoretically discharge if dropped on the muzzle with a weakened firing pin spring. Most current production models include these safety improvements, but verify your specific pistol's features.
