Frequently Asked Questions
Walther CCP M2 for sale
Is the Walther CCP M2 any good?
Walther CCP M2 owners and reviewers praise its accuracy, comfortable stippled grip, light slide, and replaceable sights. It's reliable for concealed carry in 9mm or .380. Typically around $433, with most listings $330–$500. Note that Walther has since released the newer CCP M2+, which may have replaced the original M2 in current production.
How much is the CCP M2?
Walther CCP M2 and the newer CCP M2+ pistols typically cost around $433, with most listings ranging from $330 to $500 depending on caliber, finish, and retailer.
What is the difference between Walther CCP and CCP M2?
The main difference is that the CCP M2 introduced tool-less disassembly, eliminating the hex key required to field strip the original CCP. Both are compact 9mm/.380 semi-automatics using Walther's gas-delayed blowback system for reduced recoil. Replaceable Glock-style sights came later with the CCP M2+, not the M2.
What are common problems with the CCP 9mm?
Walther issued an official product recall for the CCP 9mm Luger due to safety concerns, as certain circumstances can cause an accident. Additional documented problems include failure to feed, slide-lock issues, striker pin spring problems, and difficulty racking the slide. Stop using the firearm and contact Walther customer service immediately.
What is the best ammo for a Walther CCP 9mm?
For the CCP 9mm, 115-grain or 124-grain rounds from brands like Winchester, Remington, and Fiocchi work well. Standard FMJ functions reliably for practice. For carry, hollow-point loads like Hornady Critical Defense or XTP are solid choices. Test several loads to confirm reliable feeding in your specific pistol.
How accurate is the Walther CCP?
The Walther CCP's fixed barrel contributes to consistent accuracy, and most owners report solid performance for concealed carry and defensive use. The gas-delayed blowback system reduces felt recoil, aiding shot-to-shot control. As with any pistol, results vary by shooter skill and ammunition choice.
What are the pros and cons of the CCP M2 380?
Pros: minimal recoil and muzzle flip thanks to the gas-piston system, excellent trigger, accurate at defensive distances, lightweight at 19 ounces, fun to shoot rapidly. Cons: .380 is less powerful than 9mm, small 8-round capacity, reassembly requires patience aligning the gas piston.
What is the best Walther concealed carry gun?
For most users, the PDP Compact is Walther's strongest concealed carry option, offering high capacity and modern ergonomics. Those wanting a smaller, lighter pistol should consider the CCP M2, available in 9mm and .380. Your hand size, carry position, and budget should guide the final choice.
