Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer XFive for sale
What is the P320 xfive?
The SIG Sauer P320 X-Five is a full-size 9mm striker-fired competition pistol released in 2017. It features adjustable fiber-optic sights, a skeletonized trigger, and an optics-ready slide. The P320-XFive Legion, the 2020 ICA Handgun of the Year, adds a tungsten-infused grip module. A newer XFive SXG variant is also available. Both retail between $1,000 and $2,700.
What is the difference between Sig Sauer P320 X5 and P320 X5 Legion?
The X5 Legion adds a tungsten-infused grip module for extra weight and better balance, plus a lighter, improved trigger compared to the standard X5. Both are full-size 9mm competition pistols, but the Legion's enhancements reduce muzzle flip and improve overall control during rapid fire.
Is the SIG P320 safe now?
Current P320 models meet US safety standards, and SIG conducted a voluntary upgrade program addressing early drop-safety concerns. However, the debate is not fully settled. Some law enforcement agencies are reconsidering use of the platform, and ongoing lawsuits continue. SIG acknowledges the pistol may be less forgiving of lapses in handling practices.
Is the SIG P226 worth the price?
Value depends on your needs. P226s run $1,000–$2,700 depending on variant. They have a strong reliability record and are used by military and law enforcement worldwide, but polymer-framed pistols like Glocks cost significantly less. If durability and a metal frame matter to you, the premium is justified. Otherwise, cheaper options exist.
What are the common problems with the SIG P226?
P226 users report light primer strikes, failures to extract, and stovepipes. Most stem from weak ammunition, dirty internals, extractor tension issues, or worn recoil springs rather than design flaws. Magazine quality and service history also matter. Trying different ammo brands and thorough cleaning typically resolve these problems.
Which Sig Sauer P226 is best?
"Best" depends on your use case. The P226 Legion suits precision shooting and defense with its enhanced trigger and grip. The standard P226 works well for duty and range use. Both are hammer-fired and available in 9mm, .40 S&W, or .357 SIG. Budget and intended purpose should guide your choice.
What is SIG Sauer DH3?
SIG Sauer's P320-XFIVE DH3 is a striker-fired competition pistol built on the P320 platform. It features a 5-inch match-grade barrel, optic-ready slide, and suppressor-height sights. It ships with two 1911-style recoil springs (12 lbs. and 14 lbs.) for tuning and three 21-round magazines. Priced around $1,538, it targets competitive shooters.
