Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer TACOPS for sale
What is SIG Sauer Tacops?
SIG Sauer makes multiple TACOPS models. The P365-XMACRO TACOPS is a compact 9mm striker-fired pistol with 17-round capacity, designed for concealed carry and defense. SIG also produced a discontinued 1911 TACOPS in .45 ACP and a P226 TACOPS discontinued in April 2019. Current P365-XMACRO TACOPS variants typically cost around $850.
Is the Sig P226 Tacops discontinued?
Yes, SIG discontinued the P226 TacOps in April 2019. Used and remaining inventory still circulate through retailers, with eight variants available from 24 retailers, typically priced around $850. SIG no longer manufactures this model.
How much is the Sig Tacops 1911?
SIG's 1911 TACOPS in .45 ACP is still available new, with an MSRP around $1,221 and new retail listings near $1,179. Used examples average $982.69. Eight variants are available from 24 retailers, with six currently in stock across our marketplace.
What makes the Sig P365-XMacro Tacops unique?
The P365-XMACRO TACOPS features a lengthened grip frame with 17-round 9mm capacity in a compact package. It ships with four steel magazines, a functional magwell, X-Ray sights, and forward cocking serrations, offering improved control and faster reloads compared to the original P365.
Are SIG Sauer 1911 any good?
SIG 1911s are well-regarded for accuracy, reliability, and fit-and-finish. They offer strong value in the 1911 market, typically priced around $850. Most run reliably out of the box, though competitive shooters sometimes upgrade internals. Multiple variants are available across numerous retailers.
What is the difference between P365 comp and Tacops?
P365 COMP features a 3.6-inch compensated barrel with ported slide to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. TACOPS uses a standard 3.1-inch barrel without compensation but adds an optics-ready slide and magwell. COMP focuses on recoil management; TACOPS prioritizes modularity and higher capacity via its XMACRO grip.
Can you get a threaded barrel for a 1911?
Yes, threaded barrels for 1911 pistols are widely available. Many manufacturers offer drop-in or fitted options, and custom shops provide made-to-order threaded barrels. Pricing and availability vary by manufacturer, finish, and whether the barrel requires fitting by a gunsmith.
