Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer .40 guns for sale
Which SIG SAUER is 40 caliber?
SIG SAUER offered several .40 S&W pistols, most notably the P229 and P226. The P229 is a compact double-action/single-action pistol chambered in .40 S&W, and the full-size P226 was also available in .40 S&W. However, SIG SAUER has since discontinued its entire .40 cal lineup, removing these from their current catalog.
Is the sig P229-40 cal a good gun?
The SIG P229 in .40 S&W is well-regarded for reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics. It was specifically engineered for the .40 cartridge, which shows in how well it handles recoil. The DA/SA trigger and solid construction make it a dependable choice for carry or home defense.
What SIG SAUER gun is best for everyday carry?
The P365 series is SIG's top everyday carry option. The standard P365 is subcompact with a 12-round 9mm capacity. Other variants include the P365 X-Macro Comp and the P365-380. The Rose P365 features tailored ergonomics designed for women shooters.
