Frequently Asked Questions
Browning Cynergy CX for sale
Where is Browning Cynergy CX made?
Browning Cynergy shotguns are manufactured by Miroku Corporation in Kochi, Japan. Miroku has produced the Cynergy line since its 2004 introduction.
What is the recoil like on Cynergy?
Browning's Cynergy features a curved recoil pad fitted into a stock cutout designed to reduce felt recoil by roughly 20 percent. The MonoLock hinge and low-profile action also help reduce muzzle rise. Most users find recoil manageable with standard hunting loads.
How much is a Browning Cynergy worth?
Browning Cynergy shotguns typically sell for $1,200 to $2,000, with new models averaging around $2,010 and used examples averaging around $1,547. The exact value depends on gauge, configuration, and condition. New models are widely available across major retailers.
Is the Browning Cynergy discontinued?
Browning has discontinued the Cynergy line of O/U shotguns.
What is the difference between Citori and Cynergy?
Citori uses hammers to actuate the firing pins and has a taller receiver, while the Cynergy features a more compact, lower-profile receiver with a unique MonoLock hinge. The Cynergy's slimmer design appeals to shooters who prioritize pointability. Both are Browning over-unders suited for hunting and clay shooting.
Is a 30 or 32 barrel better for sporting clays?
For sporting clays, both 30 and 32-inch barrels are popular in competition, with no clear dominant choice. The longer sight plane and smoother swing of a 32-inch suits dedicated competitors, while 30-inch offers versatility if you also hunt. Your frame size and swing style matter most—try both before deciding.
What is the difference between CX and CXT?
CXT is optimized for trap shooting with a 70/30 point-of-impact, vented raised rib, and Monte Carlo stock. CX has a 60/40 POI for general use, while the CXS sits between them at 50/50 for sporting disciplines. CXT suits dedicated trap shooters; CX and CXS serve progressively more versatile shooting needs.
What are the different Cynergy models?
Browning offers 11 Cynergy variants including Field, Wicked Wing, Ultimate Turkey, CX, CX Composite, Classic Trap, and Micro Midas. Prices run significantly higher than older listings, with models like the CX Composite at $2,129.99, Field at $2,359.99, and Ultimate Turkey at $2,819.99. Nine variants are in stock across 25 retailers.
