The Alpine MDT Carbon rifle represents Weathersby's latest innovation on their model 307 bolt action platform, designed to complement their renowned Mark V and Vanguard lineups. Featuring a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action, the model 307 is highly versatile, accommodating a wide range of aftermarket accessories including stocks, triggers, rails, mounts and magazines. Developed in collaboration with MDT, the Alpine MDT Carbon is a lightweight chassis rifle engineered for exceptional performance both on the range and in the field. Its carbon fiber chassis incorporates a foldable buttstock, reducing overall length by over 9 inches when collapsed, making it highly compact and portable. The rifle is equipped with BSF carbon barrels known for their unparalleled accuracy, paired with Weathersby's Accubrake DST for enhanced recoil management. The model 307 action features tool-less bolt disassembly, allowing for easy field stripping and includes an M16-style extractor for reliable ejection under various conditions. Standard features of the Alpine MDT Carbon include an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger and a PEAK 44 picatinny rail for optics mounting. Sitting on MDT's lightweight HNT26 chassis system, purpose-built for hunting, the rifle offers V-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, adjustable comb and compatibility with AICS magazines. Weighing just 26 oz, the chassis combines a magnesium alloy stock with carbon fiber components in the forend, pistol grip and buttstock.
