Frequently Asked Questions
Tristar TT-15
What are the common problems with TriStar shotguns?
TriStar Viper G2 .410 models face a safety recall involving premature shell detonation at the loading port. Users report feeding and ejection failures with both 2.75" and 3" loads, out-of-battery detonations, and QA/QC issues including improperly heat-treated internal parts. Over/under models like the TT-15 generally have fewer documented issues.
Who makes the TriStar TT-15?
TriStar Arms manufactures the TT-15, an over/under shotgun available in multiple configurations including Sporting, Trap, Top Single, Unsingle, Mono Trap, and Combo models. All are 12-gauge and feature fiber optic sights and extended Beretta/Benelli Mobil choke tubes. Trap variants include adjustable combs.
What is the warranty on Tristar guns?
TriStar provides a five-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Full repair or replacement of defective parts is covered for one year from purchase; free parts (excluding wood) for an additional four years. Coverage excludes abuse, misuse, and non-hunting/sporting use. Warranty applies only to original purchasers.
