Frequently Asked Questions
Sig Sauer P320 Full for sale
How much is a SIG P320 full size worth?
SIG P320 full-size pistols typically cost around $545 new, with most listings ranging from $449 to $980. Used examples average around $362. Prices vary by retailer, finish, and included accessories.
Is the SIG P320 still available?
Yes, SIG SAUER currently manufactures the P320. Median pricing sits around $580, typical range $449–$980. Available in full-size and compact configurations.
Is the SIG P320 now safe?
SIG Sauer issued a voluntary upgrade in 2017 addressing drop-safety concerns. Post-upgrade P320s pass standard drop tests and are widely used by military and law enforcement. However, controversy continues, with reported incidents and litigation not limited to pre-upgrade pistols. Some law enforcement agencies have reconsidered use of the P320. SIG maintains the pistol is safe.
What is the Sig P320 full size?
The SIG SAUER P320 Full-Size is a striker-fired, polymer-framed 9mm pistol with a 4.7-inch barrel and 17-round magazine capacity. Introduced in 2014, it features SIGLITE night sights and front cocking serrations. It retails for approximately $580 and is used for duty, defense, and range shooting.
What ammo is best for Sig P320?
For defense, use quality hollow-points like Speer Gold Dot 124gr or Federal HST 124gr. For range use, standard 115gr or 124gr FMJ works well. The P320 handles most 9mm reliably, but test several brands in your specific pistol to confirm function and accuracy.
Is the Sig P320 full size reliable?
Yes. The P320 Full-Size has proven reliable across thousands of rounds in varied conditions. Its adoption by the U.S. military and numerous police departments supports this track record. Users consistently report dependable function with quality ammunition.
Does the SIG Sauer P320 have a threaded barrel?
The standard P320 does not come with a threaded barrel, but SIG Sauer offers factory threaded barrel options, and numerous aftermarket threaded barrels are available. These allow attachment of suppressors or other muzzle devices.
Can you put a suppressor on a SIG P320?
Yes. Standard P320 barrels aren't threaded, but SIG Sauer offers factory threaded barrel options and many aftermarket alternatives exist. Once you install a threaded barrel, you can attach any compatible 9mm suppressor. SIG's own SRD9 is a popular match for the platform.
What are the common issues with the SIG P320?
Early P320s had reported unintentional discharge concerns. SIG issued a voluntary upgrade in 2017 addressing trigger and striker design. Some users reported occasional feeding issues. Most pistols in circulation have received the fix or were manufactured after the update. Using a quality, trigger-covering holster is always recommended.
Does the SIG P320 come in .40 cal?
Yes, the SIG P320 is available in .40 S&W. You can also convert a 9mm P320 to .40 using caliber exchange kits. Current inventory skews heavily toward 9mm, so check directly with retailers for .40 S&W availability.
