Frequently Asked Questions
HK Mark 23 for sale
Why is Mark 23 so expensive?
There is no Mark 23 in the Bible, so this likely refers to the Heckler & Koch Mark 23 pistol. Pricing typically runs $2,200–$2,700. Cost reflects H&K's brand premium, limited production volume, and strong collector demand. Its SOCOM heritage and reputation as a suppressor host sustain higher prices despite mixed practical reviews.
Does HK still make the Mark 23?
Yes, Heckler & Koch still produces the Mark 23, in continuous production since its 1996 introduction for U.S. Special Operations Command. However, production is extremely limited, with only 200 units annually reaching the U.S. market. This scarcity drives prices well above $2,500, with listings often reaching $3,000 or higher.
Do Navy SEALs still use MK23?
As of 2012, SOCOM briefings confirmed SEALs operated the MK23. Current inventory details aren't publicly disclosed. Operators typically select sidearms based on mission requirements and may use multiple pistol platforms, including the Glock 19 and SIG P226, depending on the operation.
