Frequently Asked Questions
Colt 9mm for sale
Does Colt make a 9mm?
Yes, Colt manufactures several 9mm pistols. Popular models include the Combat Commander and Gold Cup Trophy, both chambered in 9mm Luger. Prices typically range from $1,000 to $2,300 depending on the model and retailer.
Is a Colt 1911 better than a Glock?
Neither is objectively "better"—it depends on your priorities. The 1911 offers slimmer ergonomics and .45 ACP power, while Glocks provide higher magazine capacity, lighter weight, and faster reloads. Both deliver comparable accuracy. Test-fire each to see which fits your hand and shooting style best.
Why do 1911s jam so much?
1911s don't inherently jam more than other pistols. Common causes include worn magazines, limp-wristing, dirty internals, and worn extractors. Modern hollow-point ammo can cause feeding issues in guns designed for hardball rounds. Quality varies widely among manufacturers, so buy from reputable makers and maintain your gun regularly.
Is 38 Super ammo better than 9mm?
Neither is objectively better. .38 Super generates roughly 10% more velocity and 20% more kinetic energy than 9mm, and experts consider it significantly more effective from a terminal-performance standpoint. However, .38 Super has sharper recoil and fewer pistol options. For most shooters, 9mm offers better capacity and shootability.
