Our full power 10mm ammo is unnecessarily powerful for killing humans. These full power loads were originally designed for outdoor uses such as hunting deer or stopping aggressive bears and these full power loads are wonderful for these types of applications. However, for defense against humans, the excessive recoil and muzzle blast of turbocharged 10mm ammo becomes a disadvantage for fast follow-up shots needed for multiple assailants or armed human targets in general. Too much power/over-kill is not a bad thing until you have to deal with the unnecessary recoil and muzzle blast/flash, which can put you at a tactical disadvantage.
