Frequently Asked Questions
Armscor .22 Ammo for Sale
Is Armscor 22 LR any good?
Armscor 22 LR is budget-friendly plinking ammo with decent accuracy and reliable performance across most firearms. Its 36-grain HVHP load offers good velocity for the price. It remains an available option worth considering, especially for high-volume shooting where cost matters.
What grain is best for 22 LR?
Best grain depends on your purpose. For target shooting, 40-grain rounds deliver consistent accuracy. For hunting small game, 40-grain hollow points provide better expansion. For plinking, 36 to 40-grain standard loads work fine. Test several loads in your specific rifle, as individual barrels favor different ammunition.
What is the cleanest shooting 22 LR ammo?
CCI Clean-22 uses a polymer bullet coating that reduces copper and lead fouling in barrels and suppressors. Available in standard and hyper velocity versions, it's designed for shooters prioritizing cleanliness. Eley Target ammunition also shoots cleanly and suits precision applications.
Which 22 LR ammo has the highest velocity?
CCI Stinger is among the fastest 22 LR loads, rated around 1,640–1,650 fps at the muzzle. CCI Clean-22 Hyper Velocity is rated at 1,550 fps. Remington Yellow Jacket and Aguila Supermaximum also compete at the top. Actual velocity depends on barrel length and individual firearm characteristics.
