Frequently Asked Questions
Walther Q5 Match SF for sale
Is the Walther PPQ Q5 match discontinued?
Yes, the Walther PPQ Q5 Match has been discontinued. Walther ended the PPQ line, including the Q5 Match, when it introduced the PDP. Used models now trade in the $350–$700 range, while remaining new stock retails around $1,049 or higher.
Is the Walther Q5 match a good gun?
The Walther Q5 Match is well-regarded for competition shooting. Its factory trigger is excellent out of the box, the grip is ergonomic, and it's reliable. It ships with three magazines and red dot mounting plates, making it ready for USPSA, steel challenge, and multi-gun matches.
How much is the Walther Q5 match?
Walther Q5 Match pistols retail around $824.99, but the Q5 Match SF variant commands significantly higher prices, averaging around $1,258.23 new, with special editions like the Patriot reaching $3,799.00. Prices vary by retailer, variant, and condition, with used examples typically selling lower.
How does the Q5 Match compare to other Walthers?
The Q5 Match is Walther's competition-focused pistol featuring a factory-tuned trigger and optics-ready slide. Compared to the PDP Full-Size, both share similar ergonomics, but the Q5 has a shorter grip and 15-round capacity versus the PDP's 18 rounds. The Q5 runs around $825 MSRP, generally less than the PDP.
Where are Walther Q5 Match pistols manufactured?
Walther manufactures the Q5 Match in Ulm, Germany. In North America, it is distributed through Walther Arms, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, which handles U.S. sales and warranty support.
What are the specifications of the Walther Q5 match?
Walther Q5 Match fires 9mm with 15-round capacity. Striker-fired full-size frame, 5-inch barrel, 8.7 inches overall length, weighs 2.6 pounds. Features fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear target sights. Supports red dot optics via mounting plate, but the plate must be requested separately rather than included automatically.
Does Walther offer a lifetime warranty?
Yes, Walther offers a Legendary Limited Lifetime Warranty on centerfire and rimfire firearms produced after 1993. The warranty covers the life cycle of the product as long as Walther manufactures and supports it. For specific details on transferability, exclusions, and repair costs, contact Walther directly.
