Frequently Asked Questions
Ruger Mark IV 22 Stainless for sale
Is the Ruger MK IV 22 worth the money?
Value depends on your priorities. Street prices run $400–500 new. Owners praise its accuracy and easy takedown for cleaning. For serious target shooting or competition, most consider it worth the cost. For casual plinking, cheaper .22 pistols exist, but the MK IV's reliability and build quality justify the price for most buyers.
What is the price of the Ruger Mark IV-22 pistol?
Ruger Mark IV 22/45 pistols typically run around $677 on our marketplace, with most listings between $603 and $779. MSRP varies by model and can reach $759 for variants like the 22/45 Lite.
When was the Ruger Mark IV made?
Ruger introduced the Mark IV in 2016. It was a significant redesign of the long-running Mark series, featuring a new takedown system. The Mark IV 22/45 variant also launched that same year and both remain in production today.
How many rounds does a Ruger Mark 4 hold?
The Ruger Mark IV holds 10 rounds in its magazine, plus one chambered round for a total of 11.
What ammo is best for Mark IV?
CCI Mini Mags are a top choice for Mark IV pistols, followed by Federal AutoMatch and CCI Standard Velocity. Blazer works well despite being smoky. Use a couple hundred rounds to break in your pistol, then experiment with brands to find what cycles reliably in your specific gun.
What are the common problems with Ruger 22s?
Ruger rimfire pistols occasionally experience failure to feed or extract, particularly early in their lifespan. Factory Ruger magazines help reduce feeding issues. Some users report slide wear over time. Most problems resolve after a break-in period using quality ammunition like CCI Mini Mags or Federal AutoMatch.
