Frequently Asked Questions
Kimber Micro for sale
Is kimber micro a good gun?
The Kimber Micro 9 is a well-built, concealable carry pistol priced around $547. It gets praise for ergonomics and aesthetics but mixed reviews on trigger feel. It's generally reliable, though shooting one before buying is worthwhile since trigger quality is subjective.
Why does Kimber have a bad reputation?
Kimber developed a poor reputation primarily due to inconsistent quality control, with some pistols requiring gunsmith work out of the box. Critics cite failures to feed, extract, and eject, particularly in 1911-style models. However, many owners report no issues, suggesting variability between individual units and production runs.
Is Kimber a high-end gun?
Kimber occupies the mid-to-premium segment. Their 1911s typically cost $500–$800+, placing them above budget brands but below ultra-premium makers like Wilson Combat. The Micro 9 runs around $547. Quality varies by model and production run, so check specific reviews before buying.
Is the Kimber Micro reliable?
Reliability is mixed. Some owners report flawless performance; others experience feeding issues, particularly during break-in. Using factory magazines and completing a proper break-in period improves dependability significantly.
