Frequently Asked Questions
Kimber KHX Custom for sale
Which Kimber did John Wick use?
John Wick used the Kimber Warrior in the first film and a Kimber Super Carry Custom in Chapter 2, both chambered in .45 ACP. In Chapter 2, The Bowery King provides him with the Super Carry Custom along with seven rounds of ammunition.
Is Kimber a high-end gun?
Kimber occupies the mid-to-premium tier, with most pistols selling between $1,080 and $2,100 and a median around $1,420. They offer solid quality and craftsmanship but aren't considered top-tier luxury firearms, and resale values can lag behind competitors like Wilson Combat or Les Baer.
Which Kimber is best for concealed carry?
Kimber's top concealed carry options include the Micro 9 for compact carry, the CDS9 (Covert Double Stack 9mm) as a current standout, the KDS9C, and the K6S revolver. The best choice depends on caliber preference, hand size, and carry position. Prices typically range from $700–$1,500.
Do kimbers jam a lot?
Kimber reliability varies by model. Some owners report jamming issues early on, often due to tight tolerances requiring a break-in period or proper grip technique. Others report no problems across thousands of rounds. Maintenance and ammunition choice also affect performance. Quality control inconsistencies have been noted across production runs.
