Frequently Asked Questions
Kimber K6s 4 for sale
What is the Kimber K6s designed for?
Kimber designed the K6s as a concealed carry revolver. Its compact frame, six-round .357 Magnum capacity, and double-action-only trigger make it suitable for personal protection and everyday carry. The gun balances power with concealability for defensive use.
How much is the Kimber k6 combat?
Kimber K6s Combat revolvers typically cost around $1,057, with most listings ranging from $871 to $1,227. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is $1,046, and street prices often run roughly $100 below that. Prices vary by retailer and specific variant.
Is the Kimber K6s a good gun?
Whether it's "good" depends on your priorities. Reviewers praise its build quality, compact size, and .357 Magnum power. The main drawback is cost—around $1,057, pricier than comparable revolvers. If you value craftsmanship and can afford it, most consider it a strong choice for concealed carry.
Can you pocket carry a Kimber K6s?
Yes, you can pocket carry a K6s. Many users successfully carry it with holsters like the DeSantis Nemesis, and reviews note it is just small enough to carry under light clothing. Kimber even released the K6XS Carry variant specifically designed for pocket carry.
What is the difference between K6s combat and target?
The K6s Target has a 4-inch barrel, fully adjustable rear sight, and three-finger target grips for precision shooting. The Combat also has a 4-inch barrel but features fixed white 3-dot sights and finger-grooved combat grips, designed for defensive use and faster target acquisition.
Can you shoot 38 special in a Kimber K6s?
Yes. The standard K6s is chambered in .357 Magnum, which safely fires .38 Special ammunition. Kimber also makes the K6XS, a dedicated .38 Special +P revolver. Both options work for .38 Special shooting, though the .357 chamber gives you more power flexibility.
