Frequently Asked Questions
Low price for Kimber 1911 to buy
Are Kimber 1911's any good?
Kimber 1911s have excellent triggers and good fit and finish, but quality control has historically been inconsistent, though it has improved. Some owners report flawless performance; others experience reliability issues. They're mid-to-high priced ($600–$1,900). Shooters comparing options often look at Sig 1911s as a primary alternative.
What Kimber did John Wick use?
John Wick used a Kimber 1911 in the first film. In the second film, he used two different Kimber 1911s — a heavily customized Kimber Super Carry 1911 with a compensator, and another Kimber 1911 seen at the Continental lounge. The Bowery King provided him a Kimber 1911 .45 ACP with seven rounds.
What's the best Kimber 1911?
"Best" depends on your needs. Kimber makes hundreds of variants across multiple lines. The Super Carry suits defensive carry; the Custom II is a reliable, affordable range pistol. Prices run $600–$1,800. Match the model to your intended use: concealed carry, range work, or competition.
