Frequently Asked Questions
Glock 43 for sale
Is the Glock 43 the smallest Glock?
No. The Glock 42, chambered in .380 ACP, is smaller. The G43 is a subcompact 9mm with a 6-round capacity and 6.26-inch overall length, making it Glock's smallest 9mm but not their smallest pistol overall.
What's special about the Glock 43?
The Glock 43 is a slim, single-stack 9mm subcompact pistol designed for concealed carry. It holds six rounds, measures 6.26 inches long, and features Glock's striker-fired reliability in one of the company's smallest frames, making it manageable for shooters with smaller hands.
What are common problems with the Glock 43?
Most reported issues involve magazines, feed ramps, and recoil springs causing feeding problems. Some shooters find the grip too small for comfortable control, a tradeoff of its slim concealed-carry design. Manufacturing defects occasionally occur but remain rare given production volume.
Is the Glock 43 snappy?
Yes. The G43's lightweight frame produces noticeable recoil for a 9mm. It feels snappier than larger pistols, which can challenge new shooters on follow-up shots. Most experienced shooters manage it fine for its intended concealed carry purpose.
Which is better, Glock 19 or 43X?
Neither is objectively better—it depends on your use case. The 43X prioritizes concealment with a slimline grip, while the 19 offers higher capacity and more grip real estate for larger hands. Choose the 43X for everyday carry, the 19 for range training or home defense.
What magazines can a GLOCK 43X take?
The Glock 43X accepts factory 10-round flush-fit and 6-round magazines in 9mm. It also fits Glock 48 magazines. Popular aftermarket options include the Shield Arms S15 (15-round steel mag). All magazines must be 9x19mm and compatible with the slim single-stack frame.
What's the best holster for a Glock 43X?
Best holster depends on your priorities. For IWB concealment, the Tulster Profile suits the 43X's slim profile well. Alien Gear works for all-day comfort. Safariland offers solid retention options. Visit a local shop to test fit before buying, since comfort and security vary by body type and carry position.
What slides fit on a Glock 43X?
Glock 43X slides must match its slim single-stack subcompact frame. Compatible options include OEM Glock 43X slides and aftermarket options from Zaffiri Precision, NDZ Performance, and similar makers that specify 43/43X fitment. Slides from other Glock models won't fit. Verify compatibility before purchasing.
