Frequently Asked Questions
CZ 75 SP-01 for sale
How much is a CZ 75 sp01 worth?
CZ 75 SP-01 pistols typically sell around $755–$775 new and $618–$679 used, with some listings as low as $400 depending on variant and condition. Prices reflect both new and used inventory across multiple retailers.
Is the CZ 75 SP-01 a good gun?
Whether it's "good" depends on your needs. Reviewers praise its accuracy, reliability, and all-steel construction for duty and competition use. The full-size frame makes concealed carry challenging. Most users report zero failures across various ammunition types. It's widely available new and used.
Is the CZ SP-01 discontinued?
CZ discontinued the original SP-01 in its standard form between late 2015 and 2017. The SP-01 Shadow was terminated after 2021, and the Urban Grey Suppressor-Ready variant was discontinued in 2022. Despite this, variants remain available through the marketplace—19 different versions are tracked across 24 retailers, with 13 currently in stock.
What is the difference between a CZ 75 and a CZ 75 SP-01?
The SP-01 adds a Picatinny rail, has a longer dust cover that adds weight to reduce muzzle rise, and features a rubber grip. The original CZ 75 lacks the rail and has a slimmer profile. Both share the same caliber, magazines, and DA/SA trigger system.
Which CZ 75 model is the best?
"Best" depends on your purpose. Competition shooters favor the Shadow 2. For duty or self-defense, the SP-01 offers a rail and reduced recoil. Budget-conscious buyers prefer the standard 75 B. Your choice hinges on intended use and budget.
Is the CZ SP-01 good for concealed carry?
SP-01 works for concealed carry but isn't ideal. Its full-size steel frame makes it heavier than most dedicated carry guns, creating comfort and concealability challenges. Better suited for duty, competition, or home defense. If committed to carrying one, a quality holster and belt help manage the weight.
When was the CZ 75 SP-01 made?
The CZ 75 SP-01 was introduced in 2004 as a full-size variant of the CZ 75 platform, originally developed to meet NATO accessory rail requirements. It remains in production today.
